Retirees Mourn the Lack of USW Worldwide President Tom Conway

The next assertion was issued by Robert Roach, Jr., President of the Alliance for Retired People, relating to the passing of United Steelworkers Worldwide President Tom Conway:

“The labor motion has misplaced a champion of employees and a relentless advocate for retirees with the passing of Tom Conway, Worldwide President of the United Steelworkers.

“Tom was not only a chief for Steelworkers, he was a drive for all union members and older People. His work as an govt board member of the Alliance for Retired People mirrored that dedication for years.

“Tom started his profession working on the Burns Harbor Works of Bethlehem Metal, becoming a member of USW Native 6787 in 1978. He knew that pensions have been earned by means of onerous work and have been a promise to be stored. He at all times fought to make sure that dedication was honored when firms closed or confronted financial difficulties.

“He will likely be enormously missed by his household, associates and all who knew and cherished him.”
