Welcome back to another edition of my weekly blog! If you are new here, this is just a fun little way that I write down the frugal and off-grid living things we did this week to hopefully give you some ideas and tips, and also just to be able to connect and share!

Like many of you, we were blessed with an amazing light show on Tuesday night. I’m so glad it was early because all the kids got to enjoy it as well!

    Meals We Ate

I did a lot of baking this week. I think I must have been catching up from being gone! Some of the things I made this week was:

    • Baked Potatoes with Chili
    • Sourdough Bread and Cinnamon Sourdough Bread
    • Buttermilk Biscuits and butter cooked Eggs
    • Tacos
    • Honey Lime Chicken Drumsticks
    • Goulash

For those looking for my free meal plans, you can find the latest one here. I’ll hopefully have another one up this weekend!

    Projects We Worked On

I was traveling until late Monday this week to go back to eastern South Dakota for a friend’s funeral. While there, my mom and I (and the baby!) took a picture in the same place my Granny stood in 1941. 84 years ago. You can read some of my family’s story here. My Granny was one of the bravest and strongest women that I knew.

While I was gone, David worked in the upstairs of the house to finish some walls and ceiling. Hopefully, that will keep us a bit warmer this winter!

    Shopping We Did

I stopped at Walmart on my way home and picked up some things on clearance for 90% off. I also had David grab a bag of flour and some milk from the Amish store and my Azure order for the month came in. (I post my ‘hauls’ on Instagram.)

    Books We Read

I didn’t get around to reading any extras this week (although I want to pull out a garden book this weekend I think), but the kids have listened to a bunch of new audiobooks! They are currently listening to Aesop’s Fables on Sherwood Kids. You can use my code “littlehouseliving” to get 10% off for life. We LOVE the app! We also read Amos Fortune Free Man for school.

I didn’t write any new blog posts this week because I was gone. Have a great weekend!
